Its construction will make it possible to make transfers between different types of transport fast and convenient.

The Moskomarkhitektura has decided to develop a project for the station complex of the high-speed railway Moscow – St. Petersburg (VSM-1), the chairman said. Moskomarchitecture Juliana Knyazhevskaya

The station complex will appear as part of the Rizhskaya TPU, which will unite two metro lines and three lines of the Moscow Central Diameters. The construction of the station will allow the townspeople to quickly and comfortably get to the HSR-1 from anywhere in the city.

“Thanks to the development of this project, the Rizhskaya TPU will become the main transport hub providing communication between the two capitals. The Moscow – St. Petersburg route will be even more accessible by reducing travel time. After the launch of VSM-1, it will take about 2.5 hours, while the trip on the Sapsan takes four hours. Separately, it should be said that it will not necessarily land at the Leningradsky railway station: the HSR-1 route provides for four stops within Moscow, ”said Yuliana Knyazhevskaya.

Now the project of TPU “Rizhskaya” is being developed, which will include the construction of a new station complex. It will become a convenient interchange point. In addition, new walking routes will be developed. The measures taken will make transfers between different modes of transport more convenient. The project also provides for the reorganization of the area near the Rizhskaya metro station. Its reconstruction will make it possible to organize a taxi stand and public transport in a new way.

The possibility of extending the existing tram line from Trifonovskaya street to the Rizhsky railway station is also being considered. This will create an additional route to the station complex.

High-speed railway line Moscow – St. Petersburg to be integrated with MCD-3

Trains will stop at Zelenograd, Petrovsko-Razumovskaya, Rizhskaya and Leningradsky railway stations. On the basis of these stations, large transport hubs with transfers to urban transport will be created. This will help relieve the central transport arteries.

The length of the VSM-1 highway will be 680 kilometers. It is planned to prepare the project by next year, and to implement it by the end of 2024.

Thanks to the launch of VSM-1, it will be possible to significantly reduce travel time between cities. In the future, two more high-speed lines will appear: Moscow – Nizhny Novgorod – Kazan (VSM-2) and Moscow – Rostov-on-Don – Adler (VSM Center – South).
