“Of course, in the modern world, no cultural platform can fully exist without access to the Internet. Our libraries host dozens of events every day, most of which require a network connection. For example, it is more convenient to accompany lectures with visuals without downloading them first. In addition, there are live broadcasts from the libraries with writers and other famous people, many of them are immediately broadcast via the phone to Instagram. This would not have been possible without Wi-Fi. Or, while studying in the reading room with books, you can immediately look at additional information online, “explained Timur Vakhitov, General Director of the Moscow City Government Educational Institution” Mosrazvitie “.
Today in Moscow there are more than 21 thousand points of access to unlimited free Internet, about four thousand of them are installed in city cultural institutions. In addition to the network of libraries, city Wi-Fi is available in 221 houses of culture, 21 city museums, six theaters, 13 cinemas of the Moschino network and the Eldar cinema club-museum.
