Active Citizens were selected from six cinemas located in Moscow parks.

Voting in the Active Citizen project for the most comfortable open-air cinema in Moscow parks has ended. The participants were offered to choose one of six cinemas located in the Sokolniki, Fili, and Sadovniki parks, the Muzeon art park, the Hermitage garden and Gorky Park.

One or more options could be selected. Viewers who had time to watch films in each proposed cinema over the summer were given a chance to share their impressions of all six venues.

“190,685 people took part in choosing the most comfortable cinema in the park. The most popular among those who gave their assessment was the cinema in the Muzeon Art Park. Therefore, other summer cinemas can be guided by its format in order to meet the preferences of viewers, ”said Alexander Pischelko, head of the State Institution“ New Management Technologies ”.

The open-air cinema in the Muzeon Art Park was estimated by 31 786 voters. Here, due to the pandemic, the auditorium, designed for 300 seats, was filled with less than half. The repertoire of the Muzeon cinema includes auteur films, festival films and classics of world cinema, as a rule, in the original language with Russian subtitles. The cinema earned a rating of 8.61 out of 10.

According to the voting results, the largest number of participants, 52,020 people, appreciated the Plus Dacha summer cinema in Gorky Park, the auditorium of which is designed for 200 seats. This summer, not only film screenings were held here, but also creative meetings, yoga classes, children’s performances and music concerts. The cinema received an average rating of 8.53 out of 10.

A cinema in the Hermitage garden with soft ottomans in the open air was appreciated by 23,652 “active citizens”. He scored 8.48 points out of 10. There, moviegoers were delighted with premieres, organized special screenings, and discussions with critics. The Hermitage Cinema accommodated 90 spectators at the same time, who could enjoy films on a large 20 x 10 meter screen.

44,012 users voted for the Sokolniki summer cinema – it received 8.35 points. The hall accommodates 349 people, but due to restrictions due to coronavirus, no more than 170 spectators were allowed to attend the show. For comfortable viewing, each visitor was given a warm blanket and a soft pillow.

Summer cinema “Fili” attracted 18 627 voting participants. The eco-style hall with wooden seats and metal railings is designed for 124 seats. In the summer, the repertoire included not only rental novelties and classics, but also a special children’s program. The cinema received 8.17 points.

The cinema in Sadovniki Park is the smallest of those who participated in the voting. It is designed for only 48 spectators. But here you can watch movies even in cloudy weather – the hall is covered with a stationary canopy. 12,732 users of Active Citizen rated usability with an average rating of 8.17.

Film screenings in the open air in the parks of the capital took place for more than three months – from early June to mid-September.
