Military personnel of the flamethrower units of the combined-arms formation of the Eastern Military District, stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory, are given exercises with exercises on the fire-assault strip as part of combat training.

Flamethrowers operate as part of combat groups, made up of two people, wearing individual body armor. The prepared section is a 500-meter distance equipped with various obstacles in the form of dilapidated walls, wire fences, ditches and a large number of different traps. These are both sudden ambushes and “enemy” raids.

During the training, servicemen hone their skills in loading ammunition with RPO-A “Bumblebee” flamethrowers, landing flamethrowers in combat vehicles, dismounting in a conventional mission area, as well as taking firing positions with the development of engineering support standards.

Also, experts of the NBC protection troops are working out the standards for the provision of medical care, the evacuation of conditionally wounded, as well as personal and collective protection from the impact of the damaging factors of weapons of mass destruction.

The key to successfully overcoming the strip is the coherence of actions of military personnel and mutual assistance. About 100 servicemen take part in the classes, about 20 units of military equipment are involved.
