On September 25, the IV All-Russian competition in marine robotics “Eastern Breeze-2021” ended in Vladivostok. The EMERCOM of Russia team, represented by the specialists of the Center for Special Risk Rescue Operations “Leader”, was declared the winners by the decision of the panel of judges. The team was awarded a cup and gold medals for the achieved result.

The team of the CSOOR “Leader” consisted of Lieutenant Colonel Maxim Chernyaev, Captain Viktor Babchenko, Warrant Officer Alexei Orlov and Warrant Officer Zakhar Baturin. In a bitter struggle, they managed to bypass 22 teams from the Ministry of Defense, the Russian National Guard, as well as manufacturers and suppliers of unmanned unmanned underwater vehicles from all over the country.

Members of the EMERCOM of Russia team did not specially prepare for the competition. Constant work with robotics, while performing office tasks, allows them to maintain their skills at a high level.

The specialists of the Center brought to the competition the Russian apparatus “Rovbilder-600”, which belongs to a small class of underwater unmanned robotics. Its main purpose is to carry out prospecting, observation, as well as small underwater technical works. With attachments, the weight of the device is about 27 kilograms, it can be operated from small floating devices. It can dive to a depth of 200 meters. The device is equipped with color and black-and-white cameras, all-round sonar and 6 motors, thanks to which it can move in any direction in the plane.
