The national team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation at the 58th World Boxing Championship among military personnel that ended in Moscow won seven gold, four silver and bronze medals and won the team classification of the tournament.

The second place in the overall team classification was won by the national teams of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which have three gold, one silver and three bronze medals each, the fourth was the team of Brazil (1-2-2), and the fifth – the national team of Belarus (1-1-1).

Competitions were held in ten weight categories for men and five for women. In total, 231 boxers from 36 countries took part in the Moscow tournament, and during the World Championship 216 fights took place.

The winners of the 58th World Boxing Championship among military personnel, which was held in Russia for the first time in history, were Ekaterina Paltseva (up to 51 kg), Daria Abramova (up to 57 kg), Saadat Dalgatova (up to 69 kg), Dmitry Dvali (up to 52 kg) ), Hovik Hovhannisyan (up to 56 kg), Ivan Stupin (up to 69 kg) and Rajab Radjabov (up to 81 kg). Silver medals were won by Konstantin Opolsky (60 kg), Alexey Semykin (up to 75 kg), Ivan Sagaidak (up to 91 kg) and Svyatoslav Teterin (over 91 kg) became silver medalists, and Volodya Mnatsakanyan (up to 49 kg) became a bronze medalist.

Ensign Ekaterina Paltseva (up to 51 kg) defeated Giordan Sorrentino by unanimous decision.

Private guard Daria Abramova (up to 57 kg) defeated Bolortuul Tumurhuag from Mongolia by unanimous decision.

Ensign Saadat Dalgatova (up to 69 kg) by unanimous decision was stronger than Barbara Maria Santos from Brazil.

Senior Lieutenant Hovik Hovhannisyan (up to 56 kg) defeated Enkh-Amar Kharkhuu from Mongolia by a split decision (4: 0).

Private Ivan Stupin (up to 69 kg) defeated Christian Palacio Medan from Venezuela by split decision (4: 1).

Ensign Rajab Radjabov (up to 81 kg) defeated Mohammed Homer from Algeria by split decision (4: 1).

The referee commission of the World Military Championship has revised the result of the final fight in the weight category up to 52 kg for men, in which the representative of the team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation of the Guards Private Dmitry Dvali and Damir Abdikadir from Kazakhstan met.

Initially, the decision of the judges was divided in favor of Abdikadir – 3: 2, but immediately after the battle, the team of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation filed a protest, which was eventually satisfied. Thus, Dvali became the winner of the World Military Championship.

Unfortunately, private Alexei Semykin (up to 75 kg) lost by a split decision (2: 3) to Timur Nurseitov from Kazakhstan.

And private guard Konstantin Opolsky (60 kg) lost by split decision (2: 3) to Shunkor Abdurasulov from Uzbekistan. Guard Senior Lieutenant Ivan Sagaidak (up to 91 kg) lost to Abzal Kutubekov by a split decision (2: 3).

Cadet Svyatoslav Teterin (over 91 kg) lost by a split decision (1: 3) to Lazizbek Mullozhonov from Uzbekistan.

Russian women ensign Maria Urakova (up to 75 kg) and private Nune Asatryan (up to 60 kg) finished their performances at the quarterfinal stage, and Lieutenant Alexey Mazur (up to 64 kg) – at the 1/8 finals stage.
