The main base of the Pacific Fleet hosted a meeting of servicemen and civilian personnel of the Primorsky flotilla of heterogeneous forces with famous Russian writers within the framework of the Literature of Pacific Russia festival.
The meeting of the sailors with the writers took place on board the Marshal Krylov measuring ship.
The ship’s personnel got acquainted with interesting writers, including Andrey Gelasimov, Daniel Orlov and Alexey Varlamov.
In the course of communication with writers, Pacific sailors showed interest in contemporary prose, especially in the Far East theme of the works of Russian authors.
The dialogue between the writers and the military personnel of the Pacific Fleet was held with mutual interest, which showed the importance of holding such events.
The Literature of Pacific Russia festival has been held in Vladivostok since 2018 and brings together about 3 thousand participants from the Primorsky Territory, all regions of the Far East, Moscow, St. Petersburg, as well as China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Vietnam and France.

Prize “Yasnaya Polyana” long list for the novel “Sasha hears the planes” in 2015. N. V. Gogol in the “Overcoat” nomination for the novel “Sasha hears the planes” in 2015. Laureate of the International Drama Competition “The Author to the Stage!” Prize of the Druzhba Narodov magazine for the story Happy Life on Debt.
Alexey Varlamov, Russian writer and publicist, researcher of the history of Russian literature of the XX century.
