Young scientists – employees of the Department of Engineering and Technical Support of the Military Institute (Engineering Troops) of the All-Union Scientific Center of the Ground Forces “Combined Arms Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation” are developing new means of overcoming mine-explosive obstacles
Based on the analysis of the conditions of organization, methods and means of overcoming mine-explosive obstacles on the paths of movement and maneuver of troops, existing mines, methods and means of their installation, which are in service in the armies of leading foreign states, he allowed officers to develop two designs of mine sweepers for combat wheeled vehicles used in conjunction with an electro-magnetic attachment and devices for sweeping pin mines.
The developed design of a modular mine sweep of continuous trawling consists of a suspension mechanism, a supporting frame of a double-mold configuration with copying sections movably fixed to the frame, a remote device on nine outboard springs, and an electromagnetic attachment.
The roller mine sweep for combat wheeled vehicles includes: traction (bearing) frame; modular sectional rotary structures; a suspension mechanism with a device for copying the track profile and a roller working body; detachable device for trawling mines; a device for reloading a mine trawl, as well as a device for sweeping anti-side mines and a jammer.
The examples given are due to the transition to a new generation of protected platforms with the power of power plants, allowing them to install mine trawls and other equipment on them.
The results are supported by one invention patent and seven utility model patents.
