At the Hockey Museum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Educational and Methodological Center for Military-Patriotic Education of Youth “Avangard” and the Russian Ice Hockey Federation.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Colonel-General Andrei Kartapolov, President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretyak, head of the national team headquarters, first vice-president of the FHR Roman Rotenberg, director of the Avangard center Daria Borisova.

The subject of the agreement was the development of military-patriotic and physical education, as well as sports training of young people, the promotion of military-applied sports, and the holding of sports and educational events.

Andrey Kartapolov noted that the signing of the agreement is a significant event for the Ministry of Defense, the Avangard Center and the Ice Hockey Federation.

“Together we will be able to raise the sports training of the younger generation to a higher level. The army has always been associated with sports. In fact, we are doing one thing – we are bringing up worthy citizens of our society and defending the honor of the country in the international arena, ”said the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation.

According to the legend of domestic and world hockey Vladislav Tretyak, joint work with the Avangard center will become an irreplaceable experience and will allow joint efforts to lay the right values of modern youth.

“Today we are solving the main task – cooperation with Avangard. We are one family. I was brought up in a military family. My dad is a military pilot. It is through sports, the army that we unite our youth. I think we will succeed. We have excellent examples. I am glad that today this agreement is being signed and joint work will begin for the benefit of our country, ”Vladislav Tretyak emphasized.

One of the key areas of cooperation was the work on the creation of one of the sections of the “National program for the training of hockey players.”

“There we will pay special attention to the recommendations and methods of fostering patriotism and citizenship.

FHR pays much attention to the patriotic education of hockey players who train in the system of national teams. This applies to all ages – from the main team to juniors and participants in the children’s programs “Red Car”. I hope that our experience of working with the psychology of young athletes will be useful to the Avangard center, – said Roman Rotenberg.

The specialists of the Center and the Ice Hockey Federation will take part in joint conferences, seminars and team building events at the Center.

“In our center, the guys undergo basic military training courses. Not all of our cadets in the future will link their lives with the army, someone will go to other spheres of life, they temper our character, get the right guidelines.

Cooperation with the Russian Ice Hockey Federation will contribute to the all-round development, popularization of mass physical culture and sports among the cadets of Avanagard, which will make a significant contribution to the military-patriotic education of the younger generation of Russians, ”said Daria Borisova.

Another area of cooperation will be information support and development of the “Brotherhood of the Vanguard” project.
