Qualifying round of the VII Moscow Championship of Professional Skills for People with Disabilities and Disabilities “Abilympix-2021 “will take place from 4 to 15 October. It will be attended by people with disabilities: schoolchildren over 14 years old, students and specialists.
2027 people have already applied for participation. Most of the contestants are schoolchildren – 1085 people. There are also 751 students and 191 specialists. The competitions should help young people decide on their future profession and place of work.
“Less than a week is left before the start of the Abilympix-2021 championship. It is always a great celebration of professional excellence. I am sure that this year the championship will also open up new opportunities for its participants. And employers, who always follow the success of the contestants, will be able to see the best in different competencies and invite them to their team, ”said Evgeny Struzhak, head of the Moscow City Department of Labor and Social Protection.
This year, participants will show themselves in 81 competencies from various professional fields. Among them are information technology, medicine, industry, economics and finance, services and food, arts and crafts and others. The most popular directions of the competition are “Database Administrator”, “Translator”, “Poster Design”, “Adaptive Physical Education” and “Entrepreneurship”. The most applications were received for participation in these categories.
Traditionally, a large team of experts will evaluate the performance of competition tasks. Among the jury members for each competence there are many representatives of major employers. For them, the championship is an opportunity to meet new personnel and invite them to work in their team.
Competitions of the Moscow championship “Abilympix-2021” will be held in two stages. The qualifying round will be organized at 32 venues in the city. Competitions will be held in colleges, as well as in the Professional Training Center and the International Center for the Training and Development of Massage Therapists. The leaders of the qualifying round in their competencies will get to the finals, which will take place on November 15 at VDNKh. The finalists will be supported by residents of the city and several hundred volunteers. The winners of the Moscow stage of the competition will represent the capital at the Abilympics national championship, which will be held in Moscow on November 16-18.
Abilympics is an international movement that is responsible for running skill contests for people with disabilities. Its purpose is to assist in finding a job.
