On September 20-24, the one hundred and twelfth meeting of the Joint Russian-Kazakh Demarcation Commission took place in Alma-Ata.

The commission continued work on the preparation and approval of draft final documents for the demarcation of the Russian-Kazakh state border. The parties discussed a set of issues related to the designation of the state border line in a remote mountainous area, as well as plans for field and office work for 2022.

The next meeting of the Commission will take place in October 2021 on the territory of the Russian Federation.
