Servicemen of the armed forces of India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan began relocating to permanent deployment points (PPD) after the joint military anti-terrorist command and staff exercise of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states “Peace mission – 2021 “at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg region.
Military units of the People’s Liberation Army of China and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation marched to the Donguzskaya and Mayachnaya railway stations, where they loaded military equipment onto railway platforms and proceeded to relocate to the PPD. The military personnel of India, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are leaving the area of practical operations by air transport. The military contingent of the Republic of Kazakhstan, performing combat training tasks as part of the coalition group, moved to the PPD by land transport.
The joint military anti-terrorist command and staff exercise of the armed forces of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization “Peace Mission 2021” was held from September 20 to 24, 2021 at the Donguz training ground in the Orenburg region. The main objectives of the exercise were: improving the coherence of the command and control bodies of the coalition group of forces in the preparation and conduct of a joint anti-terrorist operation, exchange of experience in countering terrorism, as well as mastering the basic tactics and methods of action of forces (troops) under the leadership of a joint military command body.
The joint anti-terrorist exercises of the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization “Peace Mission” have been held every two years since the organization was founded in 2001. The first of them took place in August 2003 on the territory of Kazakhstan and China.
