The main decorative elements of the Krymskaya station under construction (tentatively called Sevastopolskiy Prospekt) of the Troitskaya metro line will be lamps “seagulls-sails”, which will remind passengers of the Crimean coast. Also above the escalators will be placed two art compositions “Crimea – the connection of times from Antiquity to the present day”, said the chief architect of Moscow Sergey Kuznetsov.
“Moskomarkhitektura approved the design of the Krymskaya station. The platform part will be decorated with floating lamps “seagulls-sails”, which will transfer to the sea coast of the Crimea and create a romantic atmosphere. Steel colors will prevail in the decoration: the ceiling and the main columns will be made of aluminum honeycomb panels, the walls and floors will be made of light gray granite with dark inserts, ”said Sergey Kuznetsov.
Above the escalator descent and on the end walls will be placed two artistic compositions “Crimea – the connection of times from Antiquity to the present day”, which will be performed in the form of flat graphic elements. They will be installed at a short distance from the backgrounds applied to the aluminum honeycomb panels.
Krymskaya will have one ground lobby, which will be decorated in a style and color similar to the station. The main material of the facades is polished marble combined with granite elements and stained glass structures. Also, the upper tier will be closed with aluminum horizontal lamellas (thin plates). In addition to the main cash hall and other premises, the building of the operating personnel will be integrated into the pavilion.
The Krymskaya station of the Troitskaya branch is being built in the Donskoy region. It will be a transfer to the station of the same name in the Moscow Central Circle, which is located at the intersection of Sverzhevsky Street and Sevastopolsky Avenue. It will be possible to get to both stations through a common entrance group.
The Troitskaya line will have 17 stations, and its length will be 40 kilometers. It is expected that about100 thousand passengers.
