Today, the Security Council, chaired by President Vladimir Putin, has taken additional measures aimed at improving the system of strategic planning.

Particular attention is paid to the need to improve the efficiency of government bodies to achieve a balanced goal, both in the field of national security and socio-economic development of the country.

In this regard, the Security Council considered and approved the draft “Fundamentals of State Policy in the Sphere of Strategic Planning in the Russian Federation.”

The considered draft of the Fundamentals will be finalized and submitted for approval by the head of state in November this year.

Its preparation was carried out at the direction of the President with the participation of state authorities, the scientific and expert community, and civil society institutions.

It provides for a clear architecture of strategic planning documents, fixes the sequence of their development and adjustment. This applies to documents of the federal, regional and local levels.

At the same time, the development and implementation of forecasts, concepts, strategies, programs and plans will be based on modern methods of analysis and modeling, taking into account the prompt identification of threats to national security and risks of socio-economic development. In addition, it is planned to create a unified digital analytical platform for strategic management.
