The flood situation is observed in 6 regions, in total 89 residential and country houses, more than 1.8 thousand household plots are flooded. No negative impact of floods is predicted. Within a week, 40 residential buildings and more than 2 thousand household plots were freed from water. On the rivers Amur, Selenga and Lake Baikal, the situation has stabilized.
During the reporting period, fire and rescue units responded to more than 5.2 thousand man-made fires, and voluntary fire brigades were involved in the elimination of more than 340 of them.
Wildfires are active in 4 regions, with a total of 23 registered fires. There are no threats to settlements and economic facilities.
About 1.4 thousand people were rescued by fire and rescue units of the Russian Emergencies Ministry during the elimination of the consequences of more than 2 thousand road accidents. Over 240 people were rescued during the rescue and search operations.
The department’s pyrotechnics found and defused 2.9 thousand explosive objects, including 16 aerial bombs. Psychologists EMERCOM of Russia provide assistance to relatives of tourists who died on Mount Elbrus, as well as victims of a plane crash in the Khabarovsk Territory. In the period from 24 to 26 September, security was ensured during the Russian stage of the Formula 1 World Championship in Sochi.
