The cadets of the institute found a 9-year-old schoolboy who was lost in the dark on the territory of gymnasium No. 73 while playing hide and seek.
Returning from the institute in the evening, two 4th year cadets Yegor Karmanov and Nikolai Lutkov passed by gymnasium No. 73, located in one of the courtyards of the Kuibyshevsky district of Novokuznetsk. A guard ran up to the cadets with the children asking for help. As it turned out, the guys were playing hide and seek on the school grounds and one of the boys got lost during the game. The kids were looking for their friend unsuccessfully. Realizing that they themselves would not be able to cope, especially since it was dark outside, they decided to turn to the school security guard with a request to help them find a friend.
Without wasting a minute, the cadets entered the school building and immediately turned to the recordings of video cameras, which could fix the whereabouts of the missing boy. Not finding a child on them, Yegor and Nikolai took the lights from the watchman and went in search of the lost schoolboy on their own.
After a thorough inspection of the territory, the boy was found by the cadets. As it turned out, at first the boy honestly followed the rules of the game and did not protrude from his hiding place, and then he was simply frightened and did not know what to do, because it was dark outside and none of his friends were around. It is not known how long the child would have been in the cold and in the dark, if not for the indifference of the cadets.
Due to their modesty, the students of the institute were silent about what happened, and only thanks to a call from the director of gymnasium No. 73 to the management of the institute with a request to help in finding distinguished cadets for their encouragement, the act of young people became known.
For prompt assistance in the search for the child, cadets Karmanov and Lutkov were awarded certificates of thanks from the director of gymnasium No. 73.
According to the students, they do not see anything outstanding in their actions and believe that in their place every employee of the penal system would have done the same, and just a caring person.
