Your happy faces, you with the Russian flag on the pedestal, the 27 medals and 5 medallions you won for professionalism brought unforgettable emotions not only to you, but to the whole country, – said Tatyana Golikova. – For those who work in the WorldSkills Russia movement, who support it, the championships are not just competitions. They respond to the challenges facing the labor market and vocational education system in the country. The WorldSkills Russia movement is gaining more and more place in our life, is embodied in changes in the training of personnel, highly qualified specialists and results in a new level of education – professionalism and strengthening of the demonstration exam, which is already traditional for you ”.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that today young children in 60% of cases after the 9th grade, and after the 11th grade – in 30% choose secondary vocational education. To a large extent, according to Tatyana Golikova, this is due to the movement and its increasing demand among employers in the country.

“Next month, the country’s companies will defend projects where they will talk about their vision of interaction with secondary specialized education. The initiative, supported, among other things, by the leading ministries of our country, has become possible in many respects due to the successes of WorldSkills Russia. What you, contestants, experts, agency employees and all people involved in the movement are doing, makes the leadership and business structures of our country believe in you. Starting from 2022, large funds will be allocated from the federal budget for the development of secondary vocational education. So, in the period from 2022 to 2024, it is planned to allocate 30 billion rubles for this, ”the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Stepan Turivna, a representative of the Russian national team in the Restaurant Service competence, shared with Tatyana Golikova the emotions of the gold medal won at EuroSkills Graz 2021: “The competence did not give in to the contestants of our country for a long time. But we fixed it – we brought gold. When they announced the silver medalist – the representative of the Portuguese team, I was shocked: after all, this meant that the victory was for Russia. I would like to thank the experts, coaches, the WorldSkills community and, of course, the guys from the national team for their tremendous support. “

For the first time in the championship history, Maria Nezhdanova also brought gold in the “Hairdressing Art” competence. The girl also noted the importance of the support of her relatives and the expert community, which helped her to become a medalist.

“I cannot describe my emotions when I stood on the pedestal and proudly held the flag of the Russian Federation over my head. I hope that with our energy we will continue to charge other guys for future victories and achievements, ”said Maria.

On September 26, the results of the European championship were summed up in Austria, where the Russian team became the absolute champion according to the results of the team classification. Next year, the team members will go to the 46th WorldSkills World Championship in Shanghai (China). More than 1400 participants in 60 competencies from more than 60 countries and regions will compete in it.

“In Shanghai, we will have very strong rivals, including the Chinese team. Russia is a country with a huge territory, but, for example, compared to Asian countries, we do not have such a large population. We cannot afford to take victory with our numbers, so we will take with our skills and strong skills. The guys are charged for victory, their eyes are burning. This is the most important thing for us ”, – Robert Urazov, General Director of the Agency for the Development of Professional Skills (WorldSkills Russia), commented on the preparations for the upcoming championship.
