The competitions of the international rating tournament G1 in taekwondo WTF “Russian Open” have ended in Moscow. The competitions were held in eight women’s and eight men’s weight categories.

In the weight category up to 54 kg in the decisive bout, the victory was won by a private sports company of CSKA, St. Petersburg, Vladimir Gritsenko, having met in the final with an opponent from Kazakhstan Samat Temirkhan.

The third place was shared by Russian athlete Ilya Gikmatov and Indian representative Aman Kumar.

Sergei Maltsev, a private of the St. Petersburg sports company of CSKA, became the owner of the bronze medal in the weight category up to 58 kg. In the semifinals, Sergei met with Saypudin Ibragimov (Russia), who won the silver medal of the tournament.

The winner in this weight category was an athlete from Russia Georgy Gurtsiev. Another bronze medal was also won by Russian taekwondo fighter Artem Nukhov.
