How to get a passport
To receive a certificate of basic general education, ninth grade graduates must pass two compulsory subjects (Russian and mathematics) and two elective subjects. One of the conditions for admission to the OGE is the successful completion of the final interview in the Russian language, which is aimed at testing the skills of spontaneous speech. Each participant is asked to complete four tasks: reading the text aloud, retelling the text with additional information (quotes or statements), a monologue statement on one of the selected topics and a dialogue with the examiner. The final interview is evaluated according to the “pass / fail” system. For those who fail, there will be additional deadlines for retaking.
11-graders, in order to receive a certificate of secondary general education, need to successfully pass the USE in two subjects: the Russian language and mathematics of the basic or specialized level. The rest of the subjects are taken by the participants of the exams of their choice for admission to the university. It depends on what specialty or direction the USE participant intends to continue his studies in and what subjects the university will count as entrance examinations.
To get admission to the certification, 11th grade graduates must successfully write a final essay (presentation). On website FIPI has already published five topics for the final essay in the 2021/2022 academic year. It will be assessed in the same way as the final interview in Russian for ninth-graders – according to the pass / fail system. If desired, the final essay can also be written by graduates of previous years, in order to then present its results to universities upon admission. Students with disabilities, instead of the final essay, have the right to choose the writing of the presentation.
