Pilots of a separate mixed air regiment of the Northern Fleet on an IL-38 anti-submarine aircraft worked out the destruction of a simulated enemy submarine at the Lumbovsky training ground in the throat of the White Sea.
The crew carried out bombing and torpedoing, making 5 approaches to the target, as well as anti-submarine mine laying.
After completing combat exercises at the training ground, the anti-submarine pilots continued their training missions over the Barents Sea. In the maritime training grounds, they worked out the search for a submarine and the setting of a barrier from sonar buoys.
Upon completion of the training flight to solve anti-submarine missions, the IL-38 crew returned to the Severomorsk-1 airfield.
