In the branch of the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great on the cruiser “Aurora” a temporary exhibition “The March of the 2nd Pacific Squadron. Results and Lessons ”.

The exposition is dedicated to the 117th anniversary of the beginning of the campaign of the second Pacific squadron to the Far East in October 1904.

The exhibition stands display unique information from the Museum’s funds about the march of the squadron and the feat of Russian sailors in the Battle of Tsushima on May 14-15, 1905.

“On the eve of the 325th anniversary of the founding of the Russian regular fleet, the Central Naval Museum, with the support of the main command of the Navy, scientific and historical societies, the United Shipbuilding Corporation, launched an extensive work on the main historical milestones in the formation and development of the Russian fleet, its use in naval battles, achievements in the field of military shipbuilding “, – said the director of the Central Naval Museum named after Emperor Peter the Great Ruslan Nekhai.

The exhibition will be available to visitors until October 30, 2021.
