At the Yasyunikha airfield in Ivanovo, the 61st Airborne Forces Championship and competitions for the Cup of the Airborne Forces Commander in parachuting started.

Within the framework of the competition, parachutists took jumps for accuracy as part of the team. The jump was made from a height of 1000 meters from a Mi-8 AMTSh helicopter. The athletes had to determine the direction, speed and strength of the wind after separation from the aircraft in order to accurately land “at zero” – a mark in a circle with a diameter of 2 cm.

All teams completed the first stage with a minimum gap from each other. Athletes from the national teams demonstrated their skills and showed excellent results.

In total, more than 150 strongest military athletes take part in the championship as part of 15 teams representing the Airborne Forces, Aerospace Forces, DOSAAF of Russia, CSKA and sports flying clubs from Ryazan, St. Petersburg, Pskov, Ulyanovsk, Tula, Novorossiysk, Ussuriysk , Ivanov and other cities of the country.
