The Central House of the Russian Army hosted the opening of an art exhibition “Honor and Glory at All Times”, dedicated to the celebration of the Day of the Ground Forces of Russia.

The presented exhibition is an integral part of the project entitled “Defenders of Syria”, created on the initiative of the All-Russian public association “Russian corps of firefighters and rescuers” and the military personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense, many of whom performed combat missions in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The exhibition includes 40 picturesque portraits of Syrian and Russian servicemen – heroes of the fight against international terrorism, painted by the young artist Mikhail Topta, who once served in the 27th Separate Guards Motorized Rifle Sevastopol Brigade.

The work was done with charcoal on paper based on photographs taken at the sites of hostilities in Syria. The exhibition opens with portraits of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad and his wife Asma al-Assad. There are also portraits of the medical sergeant Nadezhda Durachenko, Heroes of the Russian Federation Senior Lieutenant Alexander Prokhorenko, Guards Major Roman Filipov, Colonel General Alexander Zhuravlev, Army General Alexander Dvornikov, and other brave servicemen.

The exhibition was opened by the head of the Central House of the Russian Army, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation Vasily Mazurenko.

The exposition will be presented at the Central House of Arts until October 11.
