The total area of aluminum panels will be one thousand square meters.
Installation of waterproof umbrellas has begun in the escalator tunnel of the lobby of the Rizhskaya station of the Big Circle Line (BCL) of the Moscow Metro. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Urban Development Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev…
“At the Rizhskaya BCL station under construction, the installation of waterproof umbrellas has begun – this is an element of architectural decoration, which is used in the construction of deep-laid stations. It is placed in the upper part of the arch of escalator and station tunnels. Builders carry out their installation manually. The total area of the installed aluminum panels will be one thousand square meters, ”noted Andrey Bochkarev.
In the underground lobby under Riga Square, reinforced concrete works and finishing of technical rooms are also continuing. From there it will be possible to get to the building of the Rizhsky railway station and the ground pavilion of the Rizhskaya station of the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line. At the same time, ventilation kiosks are being erected on the surface, which will be located along the Novorizhskaya overpass of the Third Transport Ring.
Sergei Zhukov, general director of Mosmetrostroy JSC, noted that the next stage will be the installation of four escalators.
“The foundation for them is already ready in the lower part of the inclined course. After we assemble all the panels of the waterproof umbrella in the middle of autumn, we will proceed to the installation of escalator equipment, ”he said.
Station “Rizhskaya” is being built in difficult mining and geological conditions at a depth of more than 60 meters. From there it will be possible to change trains to the station of the same name on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line. Rizhskaya is planned to be opened in 2022 together with Sokolniki and Maryina Roshcha stations as part of the northeastern section of the large ring.
