Military engineering equipment in the amount of 6 units of tracked floating transporters (PTS) has been allocated by the command of the Eastern Military District to the government of the Amur Region for use in areas flooded due to floods in the Amur Region.

The decision to transfer military equipment to the engineering troops of the Eastern Military District was made at the request of the head of the region.

Tracked amphibious transporters will be used to transport people affected by the flood, to cross water obstacles for automobiles and other auxiliary equipment, and various cargoes during rescue operations.

On the eve of the PTS were transferred for free use to representatives of one of the fire departments of the Amur Region, the transfer took place in Khabarovsk on the territory of one of the repair plants where military equipment is being serviced. Before the transfer, the floating conveyors were fully technically checked, serviced, repainted and prepared for further operation.

PTS is a tracked amphibious transporter designed to transport troops, amphibious forces across water obstacles of artillery systems, wheeled and tracked tractors, armored personnel carriers, vehicles, personnel and various cargoes.

The transporter has good maneuverability, high maneuverability and a large buoyancy reserve, it can also be used in sea conditions with sea waves up to three points.
