The Russian Summer Biathlon Championship has ended in Tchaikovsky, with boys and girls aged 17-18 from 18 constituent entities of the country taking part. In the first days of the competition, sprint races in the cross-country format took place, then the athletes ran individual roller ski races. The participants covered distances from 3 to 12.5 km.

Private of the CSKA sports company, Samara Mikhail Morilov from Khanty-Mansiysk won the gold medal in the individual race. The soldier showed a result of 36.15.8 at a distance, which allowed him to confidently bypass his rivals: Savely Konovalov from the Sverdlovsk region (silver 36.47.2) and Yegor Eliseev from the Ulyanovsk region (bronze 37.05.3).

The biathlete’s sports season continues. There are two starts ahead – in December 2021 and in January 2022: the All-Russian competition “Prize in memory of P. Yamaleev” in Ufa and the Russian Championship in Izhevsk, which will become a qualifier for the World Championship and the European Youth Olympic Festival.
