In Dagestan, servicemen of the military band of the Caspian Flotilla (CFL) took part in the ninth regional festival “Dagestan Fanfares”.
The military musicians opened their performance with the Russian folk composition “Kalinka-Malinka”. The servicemen showed their skills by showing about ten pieces of music. The jury members and the audience were particularly impressed by the impeccable and vivid performance of the author’s music “A Song of the Sea Devil” by the Leningrad composer Andrei Pavlovich Petrov and the songwriter Solomon Fogelson, written by them for the 1961 film “Amphibian Man” and the musical composition “Varyag” … The performance of the KFL military orchestra ended with the performance of Vasily Agapkin’s famous march “Farewell of a Slav.”
The ninth regional festival “Dagestan Fanfares” was organized by the Dagestan State Philharmonic Society with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan and was held within the framework of the “Culture” national project. The organizer of the festival was the Dagestan State Philharmonic named after I. T. Muradova with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Dagestan.
The task of the annual autumn festival is to preserve the tradition and rich history of brass bands, as well as to return brass bands to educational institutions, to popularize various genres of brass music in a wide audience.
The festival of brass bands “Dagestan Fanfares” has been held since 2013. For nine years, brass bands from Baku, Saratov, Astrakhan, Nalchik, Rostov-on-Don, Pyatigorsk and other cities of Russia and neighboring countries have performed in front of his guests.
