On October 4, a weekly conference call was held under the leadership of the Acting Minister of EMERCOM of Russia Alexander Chupriyan. The department controls the flood situation in Siberia and the Far East. On the rivers Amur, Selenga and near Lake Baikal, 25 residential houses and more than 1.3 thousand household plots were freed from water over the past week. 64 country houses and more than 500 plots remain flooded in 5 regions. There are no flooded residential buildings. The power supply in the village in Chukotka, damaged as a result of a complex of unfavorable weather phenomena, has been fully restored.

Natural fires are active in 3 regions; in total, 5 hotbeds are currently registered. There are no threats to settlements and economic facilities.

During the reporting period, fire and rescue units responded to more than 4.6 thousand man-made fires, and voluntary fire brigades were involved in the elimination of more than 290 of them.

More than 1.2 thousand people were rescued by fire and rescue units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia during the elimination of the consequences of more than 1.9 thousand road accidents. Over 190 people were rescued during the rescue and search operations.

During the reporting period, pyrotechnics of the department discovered and neutralized more than 3 thousand dangerous items, including 9 aerial bombs.

The department controls the safety of tourist routes by more than 150 groups, with a total number of more than a thousand people. In addition, the department is under the control of ensuring the readiness of housing and communal services facilities for operation in the autumn-winter period. On average, to date, the availability of facilities is 94%.
