Today, October 3, in the sports complex “Swimming” of the CSKA branch (SKA, St. Petersburg), the opening ceremony of the Russian Armed Forces All-Around Water Rescue Championship took place, the competitive program of which will be held from October 3 to 5.

Major Alexei Alenin, the head of the team, senior coach of the CSKA swimming and diving sports team, made a welcoming speech to the participants of the competition, wishing good luck and good results to the athletes.

70 swimmers will take part in the competitions within the framework of the championship as part of 4 teams from the Western Military District, the Southern Military District, the Central Army Sports Club and the Military Institute of Physical Culture.

Sets of awards will be played out both in individual and team championships at distances of 50 m, 100 m, 200 m in combined rescue, in towing a dummy with fins, in a mixed combined relay race, in throwing a rescue line -12.5 m, in transporting a dummy , in transportation of a dummy with fins, in a mixed relay with transportation of a dummy, in super rescue, in swimming with obstacles and in a mixed relay with obstacles.

The start of the championship competition began with a combined rescue for women at a distance of 100 meters.

Summing up the results, the ceremony of awarding and closing the championship of the RF Armed Forces in water-rescue all-around will take place on October 5 at the “Swimming” sports complex (CSKA / St. Petersburg).
