In the period from October 4 to October 30, the Airborne Forces will host a final check of formations and military units for 2021, which will be carried out in two stages. All formations and military units of the Airborne Forces will be involved in it.
As part of the first stage, the Ivanovo Guards airborne unit, the Ussuriysk Separate Guards Airborne Assault Formation, the 309th Special Parachute Training Center in Ryazan and the Central Airborne Equipment and Property Base in Kolomna, Moscow Region, will be checked.
A separate special-purpose guards unit of the Airborne Forces from Kubinka near Moscow will be checked by a commission of the Airborne Forces Command under the leadership of the Chief of Staff of the Airborne Forces, Colonel-General Evgeny Ustinov, a separate repair and restoration battalion of the Airborne Forces – by a commission under the leadership of the Deputy Commander of the Airborne Forces for armaments, Major General Alexei Ragozin, 242nd training center (training of junior specialists of the Airborne Forces), stationed in Omsk – by a commission under the leadership of the Deputy Commander of the Airborne Forces, Major General Anatoly Kontsevoy.
During the second stage of the final check, the commission under the leadership of the Commander of the Airborne Forces, Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, will assess the level of training of military units and subunits of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Mountain Formation.
In addition, the airborne troops from Pskov, Tula, Ulan-Ude, Ulyanovsk and Medvezhye Ozyors near Moscow will be checked.
In the course of the final test, the practical skills and theoretical knowledge of the personnel of the inspected units in the main subjects of combat training will be assessed. Also, the organization of daily activities, the state of material and technical support and the ability of military units to carry out bringing to the highest degree of readiness will be checked. Thus, the results of the combat training of each subunit, military unit separately and the formation as a whole will be summed up.
Upon completion of the final check for 2021, the Airborne Forces will summarize its results and assess the ability of military units and formations to complete the task as intended.
