Units of a separate marine brigade of the Black Sea Fleet, during a march to the Opuk test site, repulsed an attack by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of a simulated enemy, using data received from a unit of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The exercise was carried out in accordance with the plan of the control check of the Black Sea Fleet forces for the summer period.

According to the concept of a special exercise, the conditional enemy set up an ambush on the route of the military convoy to destroy personnel and seize armored vehicles.

In cooperation with the UAV crews, the Marines managed to detect an ambush and prepare to neutralize the enemy. The column commander sent a reconnaissance unit to the rear of the enemy, and the main forces continued to move in full combat readiness. Bypassing the part of the road suspicious for mining, the column of armored vehicles divided into two groups.

The fictitious enemy opened fire with firearms and was destroyed on the spot by targeted crossfire from the rear and from the flanks of the Marine Corps units.

The purpose of this exercise was to work out measures for the comprehensive protection of units on the march.

More than 200 servicemen took part in the exercise, more than 20 armored vehicles were involved, including the BTR-82A armored personnel carriers.
