The Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) has launched a 10-day Bastion practical training course on emergency and crisis situations for media representatives. They are held in Vladivostok on the basis of a separate brigade of the Pacific Fleet Marine Corps and at the Gornostay combat training ground.

Representatives of the Pacific Fleet Command and the Moscow Union of Journalists took part in the opening ceremony of the courses.

From the command of the Pacific Fleet, Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Sergei Rekish made a welcoming speech. The speech was continued by the acting deputy commander of the Pacific Fleet for military-political work, Captain 1st Rank Sergei Korenevich.

The day before, media representatives arrived at the location of the Marine Corps, where they will live and undergo training according to a special plan. Journalists will take part in lectures and practical lessons on medical training, on the correct use of military equipment and NBC protection equipment, as well as on actions in extreme situations.

The Bastion courses will end on October 13th. All participants will receive certificates and study guides, and most importantly – the necessary knowledge and skills that will keep the life and health of journalists in dangerous situations.
