In the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, at the Tarskoye training ground of the Southern Military District (YuVO), the participants of the joint Russian-Algerian exercise fulfilled the combined-arms standards.

Algerian servicemen for the first time passed the standards of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for engineering and medical training, radiation, chemical and biological protection.

During the training, the servicemen, using mine detectors, searched for explosive objects, organized camouflage of military equipment from enemy aerial surveillance, set landmines and various mines. Also, the participants in the joint exercise practiced putting on personal protective equipment and providing first aid in case of injury.

The joint Russian-Algerian exercise is being conducted in accordance with the plan of international activities and is aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation between the countries.

The teaching will last until October 12. About 200 servicemen from both sides take part in it, about 40 units of military and special equipment are involved, including BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, off-road vehicles, 120-mm transportable mortars “Sani”, unmanned aerial vehicles, assault and army aviation of the Southern Military District.
