For the first time, African military personnel from Burkina Faso completed their training at the International Mine Action Center (IPC) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

A group of 12 military personnel began training in early August 2021. The training of sappers took place under the programs of humanitarian demining, countering improvised explosive devices and the preparation of calculations for the mine detection service.

The training of African military personnel in the field of humanitarian demining was carried out at the facilities of the training and material base (classrooms and sites of training complexes), equipped taking into account the experience of performing tasks in Syria and training Syrian military personnel.

At the end of the training, a final exam was held with the acceptance of credits and the issuance of a state diploma of the established sample.

In total, since 2015, more than 1,000 foreign servicemen from neighboring countries and beyond have been trained under retraining programs at the International Mine Action Center.
