It is supervised by the Moscow Center “Patriot.Sport”… In each administrative district of the capital, on the basis of several schools, support sites have been created that help teachers and children to volunteer.

“The support sites of the volunteer movement are a number of educational organizations in the capital: schools, colleges, art houses. Their representatives are responsible for the development of volunteerism in each district of Moscow. They hold events, tell residents about what young volunteers are doing, help other educational institutions create teams and organize their work competently. The Moscow center “Patriot.Sport” coordinates school volunteering, and this year we have prepared many interesting projects for the children, ”said Marat Kuchushev, director of the Moscow center“ Patriot.Sport ”.

This year, schoolchildren and students are waiting for new good deeds and the continuation of previously launched initiatives.

Help newbies and share experiences

For several years now, the main project of volunteer activity is “Relay of living affairs”. This year there have been changes in it. On its basis, a databank of the best volunteer and organizational practices will be created, which will be available to all leaders and members of Moscow volunteer teams. Today, the database includes two projects – “Legal Moscow”, in which schoolchildren and college students get acquainted with the basics of financial literacy, and the cycle of online classes “Living Memory Road”, dedicated to search work.

Leaders and members of volunteer teams can join the project “Moscow corps of mentors in education”and share experiences with those who are just embarking on the path of volunteering. There are several directions at work here. The Corps of Equals brings together volunteer mentors to share best practices for interacting with peers and younger children. The Social Skills Builder training program will help mentors develop and consolidate communication skills in a variety of situations. In the DobroLider project competition, they will be given the opportunity to show leadership qualities and tell about the experience of leading volunteer groups. In the project “KLAD: an active and friendly class”, schoolchildren from 14 to 17 years old will conduct trainings to develop the ability to work in a team for younger comrades.

For teachers – heads of volunteer associations of schools, colleges and institutions of additional education in the Moscow center “Patriot.Sport” there are separate measures of support. Thus, participation in the project “Moscow Corps of Mentors in Education” will help them to form common approaches to work and create a common space for the exchange of experience. In addition, the leaders of the volunteer teams will receive the training “Eight Facets of Mastery” aimed at developing pedagogical and personal competencies. To participate, a preliminary registration.

Every year young volunteers participate in citywide patronage campaigns. They are held five times a year. The February actions are timed to the Defender of the Fatherland Day and the Day of Remembrance of the Russians who performed their official duty outside the Fatherland. Victory Day events are held in April and May. June is dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow. In August and September, the actions are timed to the City Day, and in November and December – to the Day of the beginning of the Soviet counteroffensive in the Battle of Moscow and the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland. As part of patronage campaigns, schoolchildren and students ennoble the territories around common graves, take care of monuments, memorial plaques and steles, put in order the burials of participants in the Great Patriotic War.

Also, volunteers will have three shifts of the Volunteering mobile school. They will be held in November, March, July and August at the Patriot health and educational center. Here, the children will attend trainings, master classes, business games and other classes, where they can develop their creative, organizational and communication skills, as well as exchange experiences.
