More than 400 servicemen of the armed forces of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan will take part in a special training of forces and intelligence of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) “Search – 2021”, which will be held at the end of October in Tajikistan.

The core of the Russian contingent in the exercise will be made up of servicemen from the intelligence units of the Central Military District (CVD). There are about 200 people in total.

As part of the exercise, the joint actions of the military contingents of the CSTO countries to localize the border armed conflict, as well as the management of reconnaissance forces and means during the blocking and destruction of illegal armed formations, will be worked out.

The practical actions of the Poisk-2021 exercise will take place at the Harb-Maidon training ground in the Khatlon region of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Earlier, the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin said that in October on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan, near the border with Afghanistan, three joint exercises with the military contingents of the CSTO member states will be held: “Interaction”, “Search” and “Echelon”, to which more than 2.7 thousand servicemen and over 500 pieces of equipment will be involved.
