Servicemen of subunits and formations of the combined-arms formation of the Central Military District, stationed in Siberia, will transfer more than 4,000 units of military and special equipment (VVST) to winter operation.

Measures for the transfer of AME to a seasonal operation mode are carried out twice a year – on the eve of the summer and winter periods of training. The purpose of transferring equipment for the winter period of operation is to ensure uninterrupted operation of equipment at low temperatures, as well as in difficult meteorological and road conditions.

Preparation of equipment for winter includes such activities as calculation of fuel and lubricants, development of organizational documents, organization of logistics, preparation of parks and parks for transferring equipment to work in winter conditions. In addition, instructor-methodical classes with passing tests for studying safety requirements and the peculiarities of operating equipment in low temperatures will be held with the drivers. Technicians will check the operability of all systems, assemblies, assemblies and equipment, inspect engines and fuel tanks, change oils and special fluids.

The transfer of equipment is planned to be completed in mid-November 2021, after which final inspections will be carried out and the personnel of the association will be admitted to winter operation.

The combined arms formation of the Central Military District is deployed in the Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai Territory, the Republic of Tyva and the Republic of Khakassia. It includes motorized rifle, artillery and anti-aircraft missile formations, RChBZ and communications troops.
