Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved the composition of the Commission on the International Convention against Doping in Sport.

The new structure will be headed by the Minister of Sports Oleg Matytsin. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin has been appointed deputy chairman of the commission. It also includes representatives of the Federation Council, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FMBA, the Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Committees of Russia.

The Commission is called upon to coordinate the interaction of federal bodies, scientific and public organizations in matters related to Russia’s participation in the International Convention against Doping in Sport.

The meetings of the commission will be held at least once a month. The organizational and informational and analytical support of the work of the legal commission was entrusted to the Ministry of Sports.

The Convention is the basic international document in the field of anti-doping. It was adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO in 2005 and entered into force on February 1, 2007. Russia ratified the convention in 2006.
