In the library of the Kronstadt Naval Cadet Military Corps, the pupils of the 1st training company visited the virtual branch of the Russian Museum.

The information and educational center “Russian Museum: a virtual branch” opened in 2013 gave young excursionists the opportunity to enter the fascinating world of Russian fine arts, “visit” palaces and parks that are part of the unique complex of the museum, get acquainted with the work of Russian artists, form an idea of ​​the types , genres and styles of painting.

The library staff told the children about the resources of the virtual branch and its media library.

In the classroom, the cadets watched with interest the film “You Came to the Museum” about the history of the creation of the Russian Museum and its unique collection. Fifth graders took an active part in the discussion of the film. “Why is St. Petersburg called the cultural capital of Russia? Who was the initiator of the creation of the State Museum of Russian Fine Arts? When was the museum open? The works of which outstanding artists are represented in his exposition? ” – these and other questions were answered by the cadets.

The library staff expressed the hope that the children will have new interesting encounters with the world of beauty, further acquaintance with the work of great Russian artists, the development of the ability to see the beauty of the world around them, the ability to appreciate art.
