In accordance with the plan of combat training of the Coastal Forces of the Pacific Fleet, two brigades of the Pacific Fleet marines stationed in Primorye and Kamchatka took part in the exercise in full force.

During the active phase of the DBrTU, more than 900 units of weapons and military equipment were involved, including about 15 ships, boats and support vessels for the Pacific Fleet, as well as more than 10 aircraft and helicopters of army and naval aviation.

The Marine Corps units operating in the attack were transferred from Kamchatka to the waiting area in advance, and during the main stage rally, they landed an amphibious assault on the unequipped coast with the help of a detachment of large amphibious ships of the Pacific Fleet.

The Marine Corps Brigade on the defensive ensured the protection of the bridgehead from the advance of the imaginary enemy deep into the coast, using non-standard combat techniques during the organization of anti-amphibious defense.

The commanders of the Primorsky and Kamchatka brigades of the marines did not know the plan of each other’s actions, and during the DBRTU they had to thwart each other’s plans for offensive and defense.

Based on the results of the exercise, the command of the fleet will make a detailed analysis of the actions of servicemen at the training ground with an assessment of the effectiveness of the use of tactical techniques and non-standard solutions by brigade commanders.

During the active phase of the exercise at the “Klerk” training ground, live firing was carried out from the weapons of armored personnel carriers BTR-82A, BMP-3, 122 self-propelled howitzers “Gvozdika”, T-80BV tanks, ZSU “Shilka”, as well as from artillery installations of ships Pacific Fleet, including corvettes and large landing ships. In addition, Ka-52 army aviation helicopters and Su-25 attack aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Eastern Military District worked out live firing at the range. From the Pacific Fleet’s naval aviation, An-26 and Il-18 aircraft, Ka-27, Ka-29 and Mi-8 helicopters were involved in the exercise.
