The servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, together with representatives of the charitable foundation, held a humanitarian action in the village of Aterk in the Mardakert region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The humanitarian cargo was delivered from Russia to Nagorno-Karabakh by Russian peacekeeping forces. Specialists of the public reception office of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, in cooperation with the local administration, compiled lists of those in need and provided them with assistance.

“Today we arrived in one of the remote areas of Nagorno-Karabakh, the settlement of Haterk, where 48 refugee families and large families live. We brought them shoes and warm clothes, donated by an association of charitable organizations. Each family member will be given three pairs of shoes: summer, demi-season and winter, as well as warm clothes, these are warm vests, for the male population, ”said Dmitry Tusidi, a spokesman for the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

The action took place in the building of the administration of the settlement of Aterk, where humanitarian aid was received by 16 large families and 32 refugee families.

In total, more than 1.5 thousand people live in the village of Aterk, it is one of the largest remote settlements of Nagorno-Karabakh. The work of the Russian peacekeepers to identify those in need of assistance continues.

In accordance with the agreements specified in the joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, from 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and all hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh were announced.

A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation is deployed to control the ceasefire and military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh.
