In the formations and military units of the Baltic Fleet stationed in the Kaliningrad region, training sessions with snipers have ended. Over 100 servicemen took part in the combat training event.

During the training events, which took place on the basis of military units and training grounds of the Baltic Fleet, the participants of the gathering improved their practical skills in fire, tactical and special training.

The main emphasis in training was placed on the development of new methods of action by sniper units, taking into account domestic and foreign combat experience in modern armed conflicts.

During the gathering, the servicemen in practice worked out a set of combat training tasks, including firing at various targets from a sniper rifle in various climatic and landscape conditions in the daytime and at night, at long and extreme distances.

In tactical and special training classes, snipers learned to move secretly and disguise themselves using service and improvised means, use various observation and aiming devices, determine distances to targets, and adjust fire.

At the final stage of the collection, a comprehensive control lesson was held with the participants in order to determine the degree of training of snipers, their readiness for independent actions and actions as part of the unit.

During live firing, both in the daytime and at night, the servicemen hit about 600 targets, using up more than 1,500 sniper rifle ammunition.

A sniper is a specially trained soldier (an independent combat unit) who is fluent in the art of marksmanship, camouflage and observation. The sniper’s task is to defeat the command and communications personnel, the enemy’s secret, the destruction of important emerging, moving, open and camouflaged single targets.
