The Russian Sailing Championship in Olympic yacht classes has ended in Sochi. Athletes competed for 10 sets of awards in Olympic disciplines: Laser-standard (juniors, youths), Laser-radial (juniors), 470 (open), Nakra 17-mixed, 49th (juniors), 49th FX (juniors).

At the regatta in Sochi, athletes represented Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Moscow, Voronezh, Samara, Rostov, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl and Kaliningrad regions, Krasnodar Territory.

Privates of the CSKA sports company, Samara Dmitry Lazdin and Kirill Tereshkin took first and second places, respectively, performing in different classes of yachts.

21 participants competed in the “Laser-standard” class, and 20 crews in the “470” class.

Dmitry Lazdin in a crew with Marina Fedorova in the 470 yacht class won gold, leaving behind all the favorites of this season’s class – the crews of Mark Pavlov with Polina Sukhova and Viktor Plekhanov with Ekaterina Ermakova and many others.

The second medal, silver, on a Laser-standard yacht was brought to CSKA / Samara by Kirill Tereshkin. He lost only to Nikita Melnikov, bronze by Maxim Shaposhnikov.

The next day, the organizers were unable to hold the race, due to the lack of wind, but later the weather was very pleasing and allowed to complete the entire format of the races.

Ahead of the army team is the Russian championship in Taganrog and a series of training camps in Sochi.
