On October 9, Moscow hosted commemorative events organized by the Union of Women in Flight Specialties “Aviatrix” and the Council of the Museum of “Military Glory of the 46th Guards Taman Light Bomber Women’s Aviation Regiment” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the formation of 3 female aviation regiments.
After the gathering of the participants at the Bolshoi Theater, the procession began to Red Square, where the laying of flowers at the burial of Marina Raskova at the Kremlin wall took place, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the issuance of Order No. 0099 on the formation of three women’s air regiments under the leadership of M. Raskova.
The laying of flowers was attended by the descendants of three women’s air regiments, the navigator of the crew of the 125th air regiment named after V.I. M. Raskovoy – Galina Petrovna BrokBeltsova, military personnel and youth army members of the Aerospace Forces, employees of the Central Exhibition Center of the Aerospace Forces, cadets, representatives of the public.
“Memory is what connects our different generations of Russians with an invisible thread and forms the national code of the nation, because as long as we remember, we live. Such events are very necessary and important in the formation of the patriotic consciousness of the young generation of our schoolchildren, junior soldiers and cadets, ”said Vladimir Sergeevich Luzhbin, head of the Central Officers’ Club of the Aerospace Forces, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The next location for commemorative events was the Museum of Moscow, where the presentation of the book “76 stories about the pilots of the Second World War and the pilots of our days” took place.
Sergei Lashmanov performed a medley of pilots, and a junior soldier of the Art-Express detachment read Marina Khromova’s poem “Forget-me-nots of War”.
The event was held in compliance with all sanitary and hygienic measures. All participants in the event were vaccinated.
