The combat swimmers of the anti-sabotage forces and means (PDSS) detachment from the formation of ships for the protection of the water area of ​​the Troops and forces in the North-East of Russia conducted a test session on preventive inspection of the bases of ships and vessels of the Pacific Fleet in Kamchatka.

The divers’ descents took place in the water area of ​​Avacha Bay in accordance with the plan of the final inspection for the summer training period.

During the event, the rudder-propeller groups and underwater parts of the ship hulls were examined for possible installation of mines and explosive devices by a conventional enemy.

The tasks of the underwater inspection were carried out by combat swimmers as part of “two-packs” armed with SPP-1 underwater pistols and APS submachine guns.

Also, the detachment’s fighters worked in the coastal strip and on the coastline of the task of searching for probable bases and caches of reconnaissance groups of the imaginary enemy.

The crew of the Grachonok-type anti-sabotage boat and BL-680 high-speed boats were involved in providing diving descents.
