More than 1,000 marines of the Caspian Flotilla have completed the second stage of revaccination against the new coronavirus infection COVID-19. Prophylactic vaccinations are carried out by teams of medical specialists from the polyclinic of the 412th Military Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Kaspiysk.
Within a week, more than 250 military personnel of the KFl marines underwent a full revaccination against COVID-19 with the first and second components of the Russian-made Gam-COVID-Vac (Sputnik V) vaccine.
Before the introduction of the domestic Sputnik V vaccine, military doctors inform all patients about contraindications and recommendations related to the re-introduction of the first and second components, then the servicemen undergo PCR testing, medical examination and examination for the presence of antibodies to COVID-19. Revaccination is carried out on a voluntary basis on the basis of written consent. Also, before the injection, medical specialists conduct an explanatory conversation, acquaint the military and civilian personnel with the rules of conduct after the injection of the drug, and set the date of arrival to receive the second component of “Gam-COVID-Vak”. At the end of the revaccination, a certificate of the established form is issued.
The flotilla medical service has drawn up a schedule for the revaccination of military personnel who have already received a full course of vaccination by April 1, 2021, as well as their family members, federal government civil servants, civilian personnel and military retirees.
The first batch of COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the flotilla in December 2020. Then, first of all, military and civilian doctors, who took part in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with coronavirus infection, military personnel on alert, command personnel and duty forces of formations and military units, received the vaccination.
