A joint Russian-Algerian tactical exercise has been successfully completed at the Tarskoye range of the Southern Military District (YuVO) in North Ossetia.

At the closing ceremony, the commander of the motorized rifle unit of the 58th combined-arms army of the Southern Military District, Colonel Dmitry Uskov, and the head of the delegation of the Algerian National People’s Army, Colonel Nemmar Muhammad, congratulated the participants of the exercise on the successful completion of their tasks and presented the servicemen with gifts. The closing ceremony ended with a solemn march of Russian and Algerian units.

According to the leadership, the international exercises, which included many elements of joint combat training, were held at a high level. The servicemen of the two countries have demonstrated good coordination and professional skills.

The international joint exercise was conducted in accordance with the plan of international activities and is aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation between countries.

About 200 servicemen from Russia and Algeria took part in the exercise, about 40 units of military and special equipment were involved, including BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, off-road vehicles, 120-mm transportable mortars “Sani”, unmanned aerial vehicles , assault and army aviation of the Southern Military District.
