They are equipped with the most modern energy efficient lighting fixtures.

More than 4.2 thousand lighting poles were installed on the territories of educational institutions this year. They appeared in 346 kindergartens, 171 schools and 34 institutions of higher, professional and additional education. This was reported in the capital’s urban complex.

The new poles are equipped with the most modern energy-efficient lighting fixtures: they are more durable, consume several times less electricity and shine with warm white light. By the end of the year, it is planned to install over 25 thousand lighting poles.

Light systems are selected taking into account the characteristics of the institutions in which they are installed. In kindergartens, for example, these are low floor lamps (4.5 meters), and on school playgrounds – eight-meter floodlights on folding supports. Their operation does not require the participation of special equipment.

Moscow is one of the five most illuminated cities in the world, along with Tokyo, London, New York and Paris. Since 2011, the number of lighting fixtures in the capital has increased 1.6 times.

In addition, about 10,000 smart lamps will appear in Moscow by the end of the year – the existing lighting poles will be equipped with special sensors. The specialists will remotely regulate brightness in them, check the voltage, control whether the flashlight is on or not.
