The territory of the hospital was landscaped and decorated with flower beds and art objects, a video surveillance system was installed, lighting was updated, and a convenient access for ambulances was organized.

The complex improvement of the territory of the Children’s City Clinical Hospital (DGKB) No. 9 named after G.N. Speransky.

“We decided to change the territory of hospitals gradually and turn territory by territory into public places of a good level, where sick children can swing on the swing, and their parents can take a walk, and local residents. All of them can walk here, because it is, in fact, a park environment. Nearby, a natural area has also been landscaped, and in general, such a cluster has turned out, as it is now fashionable to say, a healing environment. So I hope the kids will recover a little faster and feel better, ”said

Sergei Sobyanin while visiting the hospital.

DGKB No. 9 named after Speransky is one of the oldest medical institutions in Moscow, whose history began in the second half of the 19th century. Today it is a specialized multidisciplinary hospital for 820 beds with outpatient and clinical diagnostic departments and a helipad for the delivery of emergency patients.

Since the beginning of the year, over 32 thousand children have received inpatient treatment at the hospital. 9.2 thousand operations were carried out, including 296 high-tech ones. The number of outpatient visits was 120.4 thousand.

Sports ground, art objects and video surveillance

The main buildings of the hospital are located in the Presnensky district at the address: Shmitovsky proezd, building 29.

Landscaping began in October 2020 and completed in July 2021. The total area of the improvement was 8.4 hectares.

“Everyone is accustomed to such boring views from hospital wards, probably everyone has been there at least once in their lives. And when you look out the window, nothing there pleases the eye, especially in children’s hospitals. Children should move, in spite of everything, rejoice, and when they see depressive territory from the window, then, of course, there is no joy, ”added the Mayor of Moscow.

Between the main medical buildings – surgical and infectious – a comfortable space for relaxation and walks has been created, decorated with flower beds and special kinetic figures of abstract forms, which are set in motion by the breath of the wind. On the swing, sheltered from the sun by a shade canopy, not only children can swing, but also their parents.

To entertain little patients who, for health reasons, cannot go out into the courtyard, art objects were installed on the territory of the hospital, which can be viewed from the windows. Among them is a yellow ribbon in the form of a winding arch and large multi-colored letters that form the word “get well.”

A sports ground and a cozy resting place for the hospital staff were equipped behind the infectious diseases building. In their free time, employees can play table tennis or work out on the outdoor fitness equipment. Those wishing to simply relax can lie down in a hammock or read a book in the fresh air.

In addition, the natural area near the Lower Krasnogvardeisky pond, which is adjacent to the hospital from the side of Mantulinskaya Street, was put in order. There they laid out flower beds and planted shrubs, restored metal gazebos for recreation and laid new comfortable paths for walking. Previously, this territory was practically not used.

On the fence of the oxygen station from the side of Antonova-Ovseenko Street, a 40-meter panel with a stylized image of all the improvement elements was placed.

In total, 26.1 thousand square meters of lawns were laid, 1.5 thousand square meters of flower beds were laid out, 40 trees and 3130 shrubs were planted as part of the comprehensive improvement of the territory of the DGKB No. 9 named after Speransky. For the comfort and safety of patients, 164 modern street lamps and 47 video surveillance cameras were installed.

The hospital has created a barrier-free environment for people with limited mobility.

For a quick and safe approach of ambulances at the main entrance, a circular traffic was organized, markings were made, additional road signs were installed, and the number of parking spaces for ambulances was increased from four to nine.

The clinic is located at the address: Shmitovskiy proezd, house 25, building 1. The complex reconstruction of the clinic began in April this year and should be completed in February 2022.

“Nearby, on the territory of the hospital, a polyclinic is being reconstructed, in fact, it is being built anew, everything is being rebuilt. I hope that in February the construction will be completed, the institution will start accepting patients as soon as possible, because a large number of elderly people are served in the polyclinic, it is necessary that these works be completed as soon as possible and quickly, but not to the detriment of quality, ”said the Moscow Mayor …

Thanks to the new equipment, doctors of the polyclinic will be able to carry out modern types of diagnostics.

Comfortable waiting areas will be created for patients: air conditioners, coolers with drinking water, TVs, soft sofas and armchairs will be installed there. Warm natural tones of the interiors provide a pleasant atmosphere. The new navigation will be intuitive, making it easy to find the right office.
