Captain Denis Yakovlev, senior teacher of a separate discipline (physical culture) at the Federal State Educational Institution Omsk Cadet Military Corps, set a new world record in integrated strength exercise (KSU) on the gymnastic bar – he performed 255 KSU cycles in one attempt without lifting his arms. Nobody else in the world has done this. Setting the record, the officer spent 2 hours 55 minutes on the gymnastic bar without taking off his arms.

The record was registered by a specially invited official representative of the Guinness Book of Records in Russia, editor-in-chief of the Russian Book of Records Aleksey Svistunov.

Earlier, captain Denis Yakovlev set and officially confirmed two records in this complex strength exercise by the expert group of the Russian Book of Records: in 2016 – 222 cycles (Russian record) and in 2021 – 238 cycles (European record).

For reference:

The combined strength exercise on the gymnastic bar is performed from the starting position – hanging on the bar. After that, four exercises of one cycle are performed, including pulling out by force, pulling up, bringing the legs to the bar and lifting with a coup.

The set of exercises continues in one sequence until the maximum number of repetitions (cycles) is reached without jumping off the bar and without taking off the arms. The time for performing a complex strength exercise is not limited.
